We are delighted to announce that Fr. Deacon Milos Bozic will be ordained to the priesthood this Thursday during the 9:00AM Liturgy by His Grace, Bishop Seraphim. This joyous occasion marks a significant milestone in Fr. Deacon Milos's spiritual journey and service to our Church.
After Liturgyгy please join us for lunch in the New Bar.
Fr. Deacon Milos, son of Darko and Radenka, was born in Zvornik, Republic of Srpska on May 2nd, 1997. The family moved to Milwaukee on April 1st, 2003.Fr. Deacon grew up in our St. Sava Cathedral parish along with his three siblings: Njegos, +Dusan, and Teodora. From a young age, he was deeply involved in our parish life, serving as an altar boy, and attending and graduating from St. Sava Orthodox School in 2011. His dedication and commitment to his faith led him to pursue theological studies, culminating in his graduation from the Holy Trinity Orthodox Seminary in Jordanville, NY in 2019.
On September 23rd, 2023, Fr. Deacon Milos married Jelica Jevtic. And, on November 25th of the same year, on the feast day of St. John the Merciful, he was ordained to the deaconate at St. Sava Cathedral by the hand of His Eminence, Metropolitan Longin.
Now, as he prepares to be ordained to the priesthood, we reflect on the words of Scripture that guide and inspire this sacred calling:
"For the lips of a priest should guard knowledge, and people should seek instruction from his mouth, for he is the messenger of the Lord of hosts." - Malachi 2:7
"Therefore, my beloved brothers, be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that in the Lord your labor is not in vain." - 1 Corinthians 15:58.
We invite all parishioners and friends to join us in celebrating this blessed event, witnessing the laying on of hands, the Apostolic Succession, the unbroken chain of God’s grace from Our Lord Jesus Christ to His Apostles to our clergy in the present day. Please keep Fr. Deacon Milos in your prayers as he embarks on this new chapter of his ministry.
Axios, Fr. Milos! Dostojan! Worthy!
V. Rev. Fr. Radomir M. Ćutilo
